Why are you really here?
you are a hacker, and want to now how one volunteer can make hacking more fun and your software better
you are doing QA already, and want to know if there are things you could do differently or better
you are a proprietary company, and you aren't sure why unit tests and scripted testing still doesn't seem to be making the product better as fast as you'd like
Notes:
Can summarize all these fairly simply: the top 15 bug volunteers in GNOMe's bugzilla (i.e., excluding counting paid QA or hackers) have closed 34191 bugs, as of yesterday. If you think your bug tracking would be improved by volunteers who close 34,000 bugs (one as many as 7K personally) and who know bugtracking (and your bugtracker in particular) as intimately as your developers know your code, then hopefully this talk is for you :)
