Evan: I actually tried to force it to run over cords last night, and then set it loose in a room with all kids of loose cords, fabric and light rugs, and had no problems at all. The old machine would have been a mess in the same circumstances. I'm actually very impressed now.

I don't own one myself, but this video seems to agree with your theory that the newer model is not any better at running over chords:

Awesome, Luis, thanks a lot. We (my wife and I) are having serious issues with vacuuming on schedule, and thinking about a technological solution to the social problem.

What model have you bought ? My Roomba Discovery SE died some time ago, I ordered a battery but that doesn't seem to be the problem.

The clean solution is to buy a new one, they're not all that expensive nowadays.

I mean "any time span less than daily', which is about how often I roomba when the roomba is working. (And yes, when I was a college student pre-roomba, I probably vacuumed only monthly.)

Everything would be horribly dirty. You meant to write weekly?
