presentation styles

I love this slide deck, and (mostly) this one too. Need to figure out if I can pull something like that off next time I need to do a powerpoint presentation. I doubt it, but I can give it a shot.

  1. Luis, you shouldn’t be doing any “powerpoint” presentations, maybe you mean Impress presentations? :-)

  2. I’m subtly trying to encourage the genericide of the term ;)

  3. Hi Luis. Welcome to Raleigh! The weather’s great (you’ll learn a new definition of “sweat” in about a month or so).

In any event, have you ever seen the Dick Hardt presentations? Visit http://www.sxip.com and you can find two of them. Dick knows presentations.

  4. I have seen the Dick Hardt identity 2.0 presentation linked to repeatedly, but never had the time to sit down and watch. Will put it on the summer todo-list.

Already know how to sweat; spent two summers in Durham once upon a time, and I figure Raleigh can’t be that much worse ;)

  5. You might find http://www.writing.eng.vt.edu/speaking/rethinking.pdf
    a useful half-way point between mostly-text and mostly-picture slides.
